… Of selfish leaders and the return to the coup era.

Is Africa on the verge of returning to the era of coup d’etats? Is democracy in Africa dying a premature death or is it been sabotaged? I remember posting a comment on my facebook page about the recent overthrow of the Nigerien President, Mahmadou Tandja and a friend branded me as “leader of the coup”…

I am King of the Gas

I just saw this story on http://www.myjoyonline.com and I thought it makes interesting reading especially considering how the current Ga Mantse ‘suffered’ before ascending the throne. It reads: A call centre worker is at the centre of a bitter power struggle to take over the throne of the Ga “kingdom”. Glasgow-born Rupert Tackie, 35, reckons…

The death of freedom of speech?

Obama in Ghana vs. Nkrumah’s centenary

This is a post from my old blog address “A Piece of My Mind” about the fact that huge billboards of President Obama still flood some of the streets of Accra and Cape Coast, six months after the man has left our shores. Enjoy To say that Obama has out shined Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in…
